Business man docked for assault

One Jareka Tunkara, was on Wednesday arraigned before Abdoulie Mbake, the senior magistrate at the Kanifing Magistrates court, charged with common assault.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused, on the 7th of February 2009, had hit one Alphu Sainey Jallow on his mouth and neck at Dippa Kunda. When the charge sheet was read to him, he pleaded guilty.

According to the prosecutor, 358 Sarr, the accused and the complainant are all businessmen, and had an arguement at Dippa Kunda on the said date. He narrated that the accused got angry, hit the complainant and was later arrested by the Serrekunda Police and charged.
