Africa » Gambia
Wednesday, May 13, 2009
Dr. Benoit Gauthier, the Canadian consular base in Dakar, Senegal, yesterday visited the Youth Care Foundation (YCF) offices in Banjul.

Youth Care Foundation is a youth-focused non-profit making established in 2004. In his welcoming remarks, Kolapo Abdul, chief executive officer, YCF, said the organisation aims to promote development in the areas of education and youth development. He, on behalf of YCF, expressed appreciation and delight to be associated with the Canadians.

For his part, Dr Benoit Gauthier said that they are ready to invest in education through a regional programme of which The Gambia is a member. According to him, his embassy will continue to work with Youth Care Foundation as it is an organisation working for the interest of the youths. He urged YCF to continue the good work and reassured them of his continued support and collaboration.
