Captain Mboob is new GAF PRO

Captain Abdoulie Mboob, the ‘aid de camp’ (ADC) to the chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) has been appointed the new public relations officer of GAF. He replaces Lieutenant Babucarr Jarju, who has been nominated for a military training in Finland.
Speaking to the Daily Observer, Captain Mboob commended the CDS for the trust and confidence bestowed upon him by assigning him such a responsibility and expressed hope that with public support and cooperation, he will live up to expectation. He called on the general public particularly the media to continue to give him the support that has been rendered to his predecessors.
For his part, Lt Babucarr Jarju, the outgoing GAF PRO confirmed that the incoming PRO Mboob has been found competent like all other PROs that passed through the office. He equally thanked the CDS for the support rendered to him during his period as PRO. He also saluted the president of the Republic who is the commander-in-chief of GAF for his support to the institution.
Captain Mboob graduated from Gambia High School in 1996 and worked as clerk for Gam-Sen Construction Company. He joined the Gambia Armed Forces on the 8th February 2000 Intake 23, and came out as third overall best recruit. He was awarded commandant merit award and posted to the GAF Training School as instructor from 2000-2003.
From 2003-2008, he pursued a BSC degree in Aviation and Space Technology at the National Aviation University in Ukraine. He also attended Ukraine Pilot school where he begged Private Pilot License (PPL) and later served in Liberia as military observer and staff officer Grade one (G1).
