One Dr. Janneh, a staff of the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) in Banjul Thursday, 7th June, 2012, told the High Court in Banjul, presided over by Justice Abdulahi Mikailu that four teeth were removed from Farid Bensouda, the Coco Ocean Resort & Spa boss in the ongoing criminal trial involving the state against Mohammed Carew and Modou Jaw, the alleged assailants of the said Bensouda.

Dr. Janneh, who was testifying in the said trial as a prosecution witness, disclosed that he examined and attended to the alleged victim at the RVTH in Banjul on the 22nd April, 2012. The witness, who gave a graphic description of how he attended to the alleged victim, revealed that he observed that the victim had swollen eyes, with several injuries on the head while four teeth were removed from his mouth. He added that two teeth were removed from the upper cavity and the other two from the lower cavity of the mouth.

Meanwhile, a medical report issued by the said medical practitioner was tendered and admitted in evidence and marked as exhibit amidst objection raised by defence counsel. Hearing continues.
