Comium opens new customer care centre

Africa » Gambia
Friday, February 26, 2010
Comium, one of the country?s  GSM service providers, on Thursday opened a new customer care center in Tabokoto.

In an interview with the Daily Observer shortly after the opening ceremony, Ya Sainey Gaye, the communication officer of Comium, said that the reason for opening the customer care centre is to get closer to their customers. According to her, there is a customer care center at their head office, Brikama, Banjul and in Tabokoto. All of this, she said, is to be in the heart of the people.

Gaye noted that the new centre is in a location where people can easily get Comium services.  She said the center is convenient for the people in that area and its surrounding. "We hope that the residents in this area will welcome the new development and make use of the facilities," she said.

She further stated that plans are underway to open new customer care centers in the rural areas. "Let our customers know that we are the best; let them stay with number six," she said. For her part, Jamila Saidy-Faye, consumer affairs officer at PURA, said PURA will look forward to work with Comium. "We wish them all the best in all their endeavours and we hope that the opening of the new customer care center will bring more fruitful provision in the telecommunication service," she concluded.
