Corporal commended by HC master

The Honourable Master of the High Court, Aminata Saho Ceesay, who is overseeing the Bundung Magistrates Court on behalf of Acting Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara on Wednesday, 24 December 2008, commended Corporal 438 Njie for a job well done.

Corporal 438 Njie was commended by the Honorable Master due to his diligence in bringing an accused before the court within the stipulated 72 hours as required by the constitution.

According to the charges, the accused, Seedy Faal, on 14 December 2008 at Sukuta, Kombo North in Western Region broke into the house of Brian Ceesay and committed a felony.

Seedy Faal is also said to have stolen a DVD player, gas bottle and other items, all belonging to the said Brian Ceesay. The accused denied these charges. The case was adjourned to 13 January 2009 while the accused was granted bail in the sum of D10,000 with a Gambia surety.
