Court strikes out cattle rustler’s appeal but…Tuesday, December 15, 2009 Justice Joseph Wowo of the High Court in Banjul yesterday struck out the notice of appeal filed by two convicted cattle rustlers who were sentenced to serve 10 years prison terms each. The two, Demba Bah Demba Jallow and one Samba Kah were convicted and sentenced in April 2000 by the Basse Magistrates Court to 10 years imprisonment each for the offence of cattle stealing. When the case came up, the two were absent and the court was informed by one Sgt Lamin Korta, a prison officer that both Demba Bah and Demba Jallow have been discharged after serving their sentences.
