Crop failure affects 1400 households in URR![]() Monday, April 30, 2012 The regional Disaster Management coordinator for the Upper River Region has disclosed that1400 households have been affected by last year’s crop failure in the region. Mawdo Amadou Jallow made this disclosure recently in an
interview with the Daily Observer in URR. According to him, a survey spearheaded by the National
Disaster Management Agency (NDMA)?has indicated that Jimara and Tumana
Districts of the URR are the most seriously affected. Jallow said that the survey was a multi-sectoral survey of NDMA together with partners like Unicef, WFP, ministries of Agriculture, Water Resources and Health.
