CRR flood victims assisted

Humanity First The Gambia, recently donated 25 bags of rice to the CRR Disaster Management Committee for onward transmission to the flood victims in the region.
 
Speaking at the handing over ceremony held in Janjangbureh, the secretary of Humanity First, Aboubacarr Sowe, gave a brief history of the organisation, saying that it is an international NGO that is involved in series of projects ranging from education, rehabilation of hand pumps for safe drinking water, skills training and assisting the needy. The aim of the NGO, he went on, is to help humanity regardless of political affiliation, religion, race and sex.

 The regional governor, Alhaji Ganyie Touray, commended Humanity First for their benevolent gesture. He asserted that Humanity First as the name suggests, is to serve humanity and the donated items will go a long way in improving the livelihood of the affected people. He spoke at length about  the series of humanitarian assistance Humanity First is rendering in the region, while recalling that a week ago the organisation offered free medical treatment for the people of Upper Saloum.

The Regional Disaster Management cordinator, Bubacarr Fofana, applauded the organisation for the timely gesture and assured them that the donated items would reach the trageted people.
