africa » gambia » bundung
Tuesday, December 30, 2008
One Fatou Jassey Colley was on Tuesday last week arraigned before the Honourable Master of the High Court, Aminata Saho Ceesay, who oversaw the Bundung Magistrates Court on behalf of Acting Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara, for stealing.

Fatou Jassey Colley who was employed as a cashier at the Arab Gambia Islamic Bank in Kanifing Municipal Council is said to have stolen from an account belonging to Nawec (between the months of May to October). She is said to have received the money from Nawec but never put it into the account as required.

She refuted the charge and was granted bail in the sum of D1,000,000 with a Gambia surety. Inspector Jahateh represented the IGP.
