D250, 000 bail bond for ‘thief’

Principal Magistrate Foster of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court on Thursday granted bail to one Luis Fransisco Sane, a Bissau Guinean in the sum of D250, 000 for the offence of theft contrary to Section 252 of the Criminal Code, Laws of The Gambia.

The particulars of offence revealed that on the 11th June 2011 at Bijilo in the West Coast Region, the accused person stole one motor vehicle marked Chrysler 300m valued at D200, 000 from one Ebrima Ceesay and ran to Guinea Bissau without his consent thereby committed an offence.

When the charge sheet was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail accordingly. Inspector Touray stood for the Inspector General of Police.
