One Alfusainey Bah was recently arraigned before Magistrate Surahata Danso of the Bundung Magistrates Court, charged with wilful damage of property, contrary to Section 132 of the Criminal Code Cap 10 Volume III.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused, on the 2nd August 2010 at Brusubi in Kombo North, wilfully removed electrical wire from one Haddy Masarjoe’s compound valued at D25, 000, thereby committed an offence.

He pleaded guilty to the charge. He was sentenced to pay a fine of D500 in default to serve three months imprisonment. Meanwhile the convict was also ordered to pay a compensation of D5, 000 to the complainant in default to serve 9 months imprisonment.
