Defence closes case in Jambur trialThursday, July 09, 2009 The defence counsel in the trial of four youths from Jambur has announced that it has closed its case. Counsel Conteh who is representing Morrow Gassama, Mamudou Bojang, Nuha Darboe and Foday Bojang, told the Brikama Magistrates Court, presided over by Principal Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh, that the defence counsel had closed its case. The defence counsel also informed the court that he had agreed with the prosecution to submit written addresses to the court. The magistrate endorsed the agreement. The case was adjourned to 23 July, to allow the parties to file their addresses. The quartet are standing trial on two criminal counts, conspiracy and threat to burn, which they have refuted.
