DGFS donates to NDMAThursday, December 24, 2009 Danish/Gambia Friendship Society, (DGFS) recently donated a leo- feet container to National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) at a ceremony held at the NDMA store complex in Serrekunda. The items include chairs, tables, clothes, type writer, showing machines and other items. Speaking at the ceremony, the deputy permanent secretary at the Office of the Vice President, Mama Nyang, said the items donated to NDMA will be very helpful in trying to moblise the resources of the disaster victims. He further expressed that the items will be distributed to the disaster victims, and expressed optimism that the donated items will help greatly the victims in many forms. For his part, Ousman Dampha, the coordinator of the Danish Society unveiled that his organization has been doing this for many times now and that every month they import two containers for the NDMA.
