Dr Tangara thanks President Jammeh![]() Thursday, February 25, 2010 Following his nomination to receive the award of Insignia of Member of the National Order of the Republic of The Gambia, the Minister for Higher Education,Research,Science and Technology Dr Mamadou Tangara, then coordinator of the National Authorising Office System Support Unit (NAOSU) has written to the Gambian leader His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dy Yahya Jammeh expressing gratitude and appreciation for the nomination. The letter reads: It was with a deep sense of gratitude that I received news of Your Excellency's awarding me the Insignia of Member of a National Order of the Republic of The Gambia (MRG). Your Excellency, I accept the award with humility as my little contribution in Your Excellency's efforts to transform our country into a beacon of hope and prosperity. I shall not rest on my efforts but would endeavour to double it and continue contributing my quota for the attainment of your Excellency's Vision 2020 objectives. Sir, I have also received with pleasure the news of the award of the Insignia of Officer of the National Order of the Republic of The Gambia (ORG) to Enhange Gambie Limousin en Sante et Education (EGALISE) Association BELLAC, on their behalf, I extend profound thanks and appreciation to Your Excellency for the recognition of the group's valuable services to the country.
