DSA elects new executive

The Dynamic Sarahulleh Association (DSA) Sunday elected a new executive at a meeting held in Churchills Town. Speaking at the meeting, Babou Gaye Sonko, a National Assembly member expressed gratitude to members of the Association on behalf of the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, who he said is thankful for thework they conducted at his farm in Kanilai.


He described DSA as a very promising association and commended its members for the trust and confidence bestowed on the new executive.


Yankuba Sinera, the secretary general of DSA thanked the members for entrusting him with the position of secretary general.

For his part, Musa Bajaha, the newly-elected PRO commended the members of the Association for conducting the congress in a free, fair and peaceful atmosphere.


Papa Sillah, the chairman of Sports Committee disclosed that the Association started with 50 people but the number has now increased to 400 members.


The new executive members are: Ali Gerew,president; Ebrima Kabba, vice president; Edrissa Touray, youth coordinator; Yankuba Sinera, secretary general; Hajja Tawuru, womenmobiliser; Papa Sillah, chairman of Sports Committee; Ishaka Sissoho, chairman Religious Committee; Muhammed Jawara, chairman Cultural Committee; Muhammed Jagana, chairman Conflict and Resolution Committee; Musa Bajaha, public relations officer; Mahammed Touray, auditor; andMuhammed Kalajula, URR regional chairman.
