The Dynamic Sarahulleh Association (DSA) on Sunday held its first Islamic conference at Churchill’s Town. The conference, spearheaded by the religious committee of DSA is part of the Association’s annual plan of activities. The chairman of the Association, Muhammed Touray who is currently residing in Angola, sponsored the event.

Yankuba Sinera, the secretary general, thanked the organising committee for their commitment and dedication to making the conference a success. The main aim of the conference, he said is to promote and propagate the Islamic principles amongst the members of the DSA and inculcate moral values in the youth, who came to attend the gathering.

Musa Bajaha, the public relations officer of the Association disclosed that during the holy month of Ramadan, they have assisted many people in Basse with bags of sugar, rice and cooking oil, adding that over 140 families have also benefited from them. Bajaha stated that it is their intention to extend assistance to the Greater Banjul Area and students in boarding schools by next year.

Ali Gerew, the president of DSA noted that the conference would enable them unite and share experiences among themselves. He thanked the Gambian leader for the support he has been rendering to the Association. Other speakers include Papa Touray, the chairman of sports committee.
