Wednesday, July 29, 2009
A three weeks old baby girl was on the 21st July 2009 found dumped outside a compound in Basse Angal futa URR.

According to sources made available to the Daily Observer's URR bureau, the abandoned baby was wrapped in a piece of 'Fante' cloth and left outside the gate of a compound in the angal futa neighbourhood of Basse.  Our sources further revealed that the police were informed about the matter, who later took the child to Basse health centre for observation, but it was confirm that she was sound and in good health.

Hence the mother of the baby is not yet known, a locating her request, pending the police investigations.  But to the surprise of many observers in Basse, the whole case has taken a new dianension, as one week after, the woman went back to the police and said that her husband had ask her to return the child, as he doesn't want to herbour such children.

The police in Basse, generously took the burden of taking care of the abandoned child, until the mother is known or their investigations are completed.  The child is currently under the safe-hands an officer attached to the Basse police station.
