Dutch CEOs on a retreat in The Gambia

Africa » Gambia
Wednesday, March 10, 2010
A group of Dutch chief executive officers (CEOs) from major hospitals in Holland and their Gambian counterparts are holding a five-day international retreat in the country.

This was revealed to the Daily Observer by the chief executive officer of the Sulayman Junkung Jammeh Hospital in Bwiam, Kebba Badjie. According to him, this is the first time CEOs from hospitals in Holland and The Gambia are coming together to discuss matters relating to their various institutions in a “win-win” situation.

CEO Badjie explained that during the retreat participants will create linkages, opportunities, share experiences, information and knowledge among other things. He disclosed that at the end of the retreat they are expected to meet the minister of Health and Social Welfare in The Gambia to brief him about what they discussed.
The team will also visit the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital in Banjul, Sheikh Zaieed Regional Eye Care Centre in Kanifing and the Jammeh Foundation for Peace Hospital in Bundung.
