Erasefoundation, a British-based registered charitable organisation, recently donated office equipment, notably filing cabins and cleaning materials to the Brikama Area Council (BAC), at a presentation ceremony held at the council's grounds in Western Region.

Established in 2007 by a British couple, Alwyn Simpson and wife Jacqui Simpson, the foundation has been rendering valuable assistance to a number of communities in Western Region. Speaking at the ceremony, Sering Modou Joof, the principal administration officer who also doubles as the public relation officer of the Brikama Area Council, said the foundation has sponsored a number of projects in Western Region including the Marakissa Multi Purpose Centre.

Alwyn Simpson, the president of the foundation, said the foundation views it a challenge to help local communities noting that helping the council is fitting. According to him, they want to build a good partnership with the Brikama Area Council. He further disclosed that they will be back in few months time when they will donates another consignment of learning materials to government schools in the area.

Sunkary Badjie, the chairman of the Brikama Area Council, expressed his profound gratitude to the foundation. "The assistance came at the right time," he said.
