Friday, June 01, 2012

A talent competition designed to unearth the country’s hidden talents especially those in Kanifing Estate neighoubrhoods is slated for tonight Friday 1st June 2012, at the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) multipurpose hall in Kanifing. The show dubbed ‘Estate Got Talent’ also endeavours to extract the talents of entertainers from Kanifing Estate and its environs such as Jeshwang, Bakau, Kanifing South and Pipeline.

In an interview with What’s On, one of the organisers, Augustus John revealed that the contest is geared towards bringing people together and to render competitors a platform to unearth their talents. “The programme is done to bring people together in peace and harmony and it is also orgranised to bring out the talents of people in singing and dancing. There are lots of people especially youths who have so much talents but don’t have where to show them and this programme provides one. So we are calling on everyone to come and see new and interesting talents in singing and dancing and we have surprise prizes for the best singer and best dancer,” he said.

He also added that gates to the programme will open at eight while calling on all to make it a date as much is in store. Some of rising disc jockies such as DJ Rassi, DJ Blaze and DJ Junjo will be at hand to entertain the crowd.
