False information case delayedWednesday, July 08, 2009 The false information case before the Brikama Magistrates court could not proceed due to the absence of witnesses. Alhaji Dembo Jarjue is charged with giving false information to the State House. The said information concerns the political situation in Kasakunda. When the case was called on Tuesday 7 July 2009, the prosecutor, Sergeant Jammeh appealed for an adjournment on the grounds that his witnesses, the governor of Western Region - Lamin Sanneh, and the chief of the area - Dembo Santang Bojang, were not available. He said the two are the prosecution's key witnesses in the case. The application was granted by the presiding magistrate, Basiru Mahoney, and the case was adjourned to July 20, 2009.
