Father David Gimoh Jarjue , the vicar general of the Diocese of Banjul has been appointed the acting chairman of the National Council for Civic Education (NCCE). He replaces John P. Bojang who passed away last year.

When contacted to shed light on the matter, Father Jarjue, who has been with the NCCE since its inception in 1999 confirmed his appointment, saying he has been acting since December 2011.
