The training is part of FIFA's Win in Africa with Africa Programme launched after South Africa were chosen to host the 2010 World Cup finals. The training, which will gather twenty-five referees and assistant referees from both the first and second division league will also have Mr Joseph Wellington of Ghana as the tutor.

The secretary of state for Youth and Sports, Mr Sheriff Gomez,  is expected to deliver a keynote address before the official opening tomorrow. Meanwhile, a press statement from the Gambia Football Association has it that the divisional club representatives will meet two visiting FIFA officials in Sampon Kablan and Jean - Marie Conz, who are in the country for a brief official visit.

Each GFA affiliated club, according to the release, are expected to send in two representative, preferably the head coach and secretary general, for the meeting, which is fixed for Thursday (today) at the new GFA secretariat situated at Kanifing Institutional Area.
