One Hajie Fatou Mendy, 25, and her sister (name withheld) 17, were on Tuesday arraigned before Acting Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrates Court for assaulting one Hajie Kumba Mendy.

The two accused persons both pleaded guilty to the offence. The first accused, Hajie Fatou Mendy, was found guilty of the offence and convicted. Acting Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara sentenced her to a fine of D5,000 in default to serve a 3-month imprisonment Court for judgement.
