Africa » Gambia
Thursday, September 03, 2009
Kebba Conteh, a fire officer attached to the Serrekunda Fire Station, on Wednesday, gave his testimony  as the 3rd prosecution witness in the ongoing criminal trial involving one Seedu Lamin Jobe at the Kanifing Magistrates Court.

Testifying before Magistrate BO Jobe,  Conteh told the court that on the 8th of June 2009, whilst on his way back home from work, he met the accused and one old man pushing and pulling over an aluminium window frame on top of a wheelbarrow. According to him, he asked them what the matter was and the old man said to him that he suspected that the aluminium frame had been stolen.

He further told the court that when he asked  the accused, he answered that the aluminium window frame was his. He added that he asked both of them to accompany him to the Serrekunda Police Station. He stated that he himself recorded his statements with the police.
