French ambassador inspects arts exhibition

Her Excellency Madam Robin,the French ambassador to the republic of the Gambia last week inspected the artistic works exhibited at the Alliance-franco-gambienne on Kairaba Avenue in the KSMD.

The artistic works were exhibited by Mr Yuspalkala,a renowned Nigerian international artist of our generation. Mr Yuspalkala is a graduate of Ahmed Bello University in creative arts and sculptor of African subjects.The exhibition starts from the 4th through 31st December 2008.

Madam Robin's visit was in honor of the invitatioin extended to her to grace the coctail reception of the 27 days long arts exhibition of Mr Yuspalkala.The French representative in the Gambia did not conseal her sense of appreciation for the artistic works exhibited both on the walls and grounds of the Alliance franco-gambienne. She described the works as extremely wonderful and real manifestations of either African culture or real life subjects in Africa and the world at large.

The reception party was graced by senior government and private sector officials, media practitioners,friends,family members of the arts exhibitor and other lovers of the world of arts and culture.
