Friday is Budget Speech

The Appropriation Bill (traditionally known as the Budget Speech) will be delivered to the National Assembly by the Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs, Mousa Gibril Bala-Gaye on Friday, December 19th, 2008 at 5:00 pm, a press release from the Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly reveals.

Below we reproduce the full text of the release;  In pursuant to the provisions of Section 152(3) of the 1997 Constitution, it is hereby announced for the information of the general public that an Appropriation Bill (traditionally known as the Budget Speech) shall be delivered to the National Assembly by the secretary of state for Finance and economic affairs, Honourable Mousa Gibril Bala-Gaye, on Friday 19th December 2009 at 5:00 pm.

All invited guests are kindly reminded to be seated by 4:30 pm sharp. HE, the vice president, Dr Aja Isatou Njie-Saidy, will grace the occasion.
