Africa » Gambia
Thursday, March 10, 2011
The Gambia U20 team will face Senegalese Olympic team in international friendly match scheduled between the weekend of March 18 – 20, 2011 in Dakar, revealed the president of the Gambia Football Association Mr Seedy Kinteh.

The warm up test is part of the Gambian team’s preparation for the 2011 African Youth Championship finals the venue of which is yet to be decided since the organizers [CAF] declared the previous venue –Libya - a ‘no go area’ due to the current political crisis in the North African country.

The Senegalese side will use the Dakar test as a warm up to their 2012 Olympic qualifier campaign starting on March 25, 2011. Kinteh said the late month friendly between the two youth sides was finalized during his meeting, in Dakar, with Senegal football officials last week.
