Gambian hopeful Joe Sise leaves HBK for FC Nordsjaelland![]() Friday, January 27, 2012 Young Gambian hopeful Joe Sise has left his native Sweden to make a short trip across another country Scandinavia by joining Super League (premier league) side FC Nordsjaelland on a three-year contract Observer Sports can reveal. The 22-year-old forward made his intentions clear at the end of the Swedish league season in October last year following Halmstad BK’s relegation to the second tier that he will be leaving the demoted club and now it is clear that the youngster opted to sign a three-year contract with the Danish side on Thursday. Commenting on the move, the forward said, “They (FC Nordsjaelland) play a game of football that suits me. Joe Sise joined Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers on trial towards the end of last year but has missed out on winning a permanent contract. The Swedish-Gambian striker was out of contract at Halmstad, who have been relegated from Sweden's top flight. German club Hansa Rostock in the past has also expressed an interest in Sise, who has been capped by the Sweden Under-21 team. "Sise did reasonably well and showed some decent touches, but manager Ally McCoist has decided that he will not progress the matter," Rangers said at the time. "Sise had been on a training and match trial with the Light Blues after some favourable reports on his performances in the Swedish league.
