Friday, May 08, 2009
Bakz Saho is a Gambian music promoter currently based in the United Kingdom.

He attended Albion  Primary, from there he moved to Ice Junior and Senior Secondary School. He was a former headboy at the latter school and due to his love for computer technology, Bakz enrolled at Hi Tech-2000 to study Webpage Design and Graphics where he graduated with an advance diploma in both. He travelled to Cyprus two years later, he studied Computer Science there before finally moving to the UK.

Bakz's interest in Gambian music started when his cousin MLC took up singing as a career in 2004. He became his manager and has remained so ever since. This led him to integrate his two passions for Gambian music and graphic design by designing his own website to promote Gambian music and musicians through Facebook and Myspace more effectively.

He aspires and intends to promote awareness of Gambian music by organizing and inviting Gambian musicians to perform in the UK. His major dream is to open a standard recording studio in The Gambia to help upcoming artists realize their dreams. His desire in promoting Gambian musicians is something he holds true to his heart.
