Gambians in Mennesota support Health MinistryFriday, April 13, 2012 Gambians in Mennesota in the United States of America recently donated medical items to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOH&SW) at a ceremony held at the Ministry’s complex in Banjul. Among the items were hospital beds, mattresses, three standing weighing machines, baby cords, and surgical items. Speaking on behalf of Gambians in Mennesota, Bully Dibba noted that the health sector is very important to the development of any country. He added that the donation is part of their contribution to the health sector.He also assured that they will continue tosupport the health sector. For his part, Dr Mamadi Cham, the director of Health Services thanked the Gambians in Minnesota for the timely support and urged others in the Diaspora to emulate them. He assured them that the donated itemswill be put into good use and will be shared among the various health facilities within the country.
