Omar Dibba, the youth programme coordinator of Gamcotrap Thursday told the Banjul Magistrates’ Court, presided over by Principal Magistrate Taiwo Ade Alagbe that Gamcotrap has never signed any micro-credit contract with Yolocamba.
Dibba made this revelation while responding to questions under cross- examination by police Prosecutor Supt. Sainey Joof. It would be recalled that Dibba testified as a defence witness in the criminal trial involving the State against Dr. Isatou Touray and Amie Bojang-Sissoho, the executive director and programme coordinator of Gamcotrap respectively at the said court.
Dibba further revealed that he was in court to defend justice, adding that he has been working with the accused persons for eight years and was involved in the implementation of the project that started in March 2009.
He said 129, 846 Euros was awarded for the implementation of the project and the said money was given after the signing of the contract between the two organisations. He disclosed that the said money was sent according to the budget Yolocamba sent to Gamcotrap after the signing of the project. At that juncture, the case was adjourned to 21st August, 2012.
