Telecommunication boys Gamtel on Wednesday beat Serekunda United 1-0 in a second round rescheduled game in the GFA 1st Division League at the Serekunda East mini-stadium.

Serekunda United started the first half dominating, creating and carving out a host of goalscoring chances in the process. Lamin Demba’s shot was saved by Gamtel goalkeeper Musa Camara before Ali Sowe’s 27th minute effort gave Gamtel an early lead.

Speaking to reporters shortly after the match, the coach of Gamtel, Tapha Manneh, said he is happy as far as the three points are concerned at this time of the league while also admitting that it was very difficult to play with Serekunda United. For his part, the coach of Serekunda United, Pa Lamin Sillah said he was disappointed with the result.
