League leaders Armed Forces stunned Steve Biko 2-1 in the  week nine matches of the Gambia First Division League, while Wallidan thrashed Africell-Sait Matty to earn their third successive wins after a horrible start.

The Soldiers enjoyed a rare back-to-back wins on Saturday at the Manjai Kunda Mini-stadium after goals from Buba Sama and Landing Darboe reduced Ebrima Manneh's second half strike to a consolidation. Armed Forces now tightened their grip at the top with 19 points, 5 points ahead second-place Steve Biko.

Africell sponsored Sait Matty slipped into the red zone after a 3-0 defeat to champions Wallidan who have now moved up to joint third position with 13 points. Hawks climbed out of the relegation with a vital 2-0 victory which pushes stumbling Sea View closer to the drop.

On Sunday, Tallinding United dented Samger's hopes of closing the gap with a 1-0 win at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium, while Ebou Cole's stoppage time strike was enough for Brikama United to beat Real de Banjul 1-0 at the Brikama Mini-stadium Bakau United failed to the close in on leaders after a goalless draw against Gamtel at the Father Gough sports complex in Manjai Kunda.
