GFA First Division League resumes today

africa » gambia
Tuesday, April 21, 2009
Actions in the Gambia Football Association First Division League season will resume today with league leaders Armed Forces, Wallidan and Steve Biko all in action.

The soldiers, who beat fellow contenders, Bakau United, 2-0 in the weekend to open up a massive eight-point lead at the summit of the league table, face a relatively easy task against struggling Africell at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium. Brikama United will host champions Wallidan at the Box Bar Mini-stadium, while Real de Banjul battle it out with Bakau United at the Independence Stadium, Bakau.

Steve Biko will be hoping to bounce back from their 0-1 weekend defeat by Gamtel,  when they take on Talliding United in the day's final fixture at the Father Gough mini-stadium in Manjai.

On Thursday, Samger will take on misfiring Hawks in Manjai, while Sea View square off against second-place Gamtel in Brikama.
