GFA NC distributes draft constitution

Africa » Gambia
Friday, August 03, 2012

The Normalisation Committee of The Gambia Football Association (GFA) has begun distributing its draft constitution to stakeholders in the country, according to a dispatch from the FA.

The move came after the Constitutional Review Committee headed by vice chairman, Omar Sey concluded a laborious academic exercise on the GFA Constitution. “This scholarly and painstaking exercise was also followed by a round table consultative meeting with Primo Carvalvo and Prosper Abega of FIFA with the view to aligning it with the FIFA recommended statues for the greater good of the game in The Gambia,” the release indicated.

The release went further to state that the distribution exercise kicked-off on Thursday, August 2nd, 2012 to all regions including the Greater Banjul Area and is expected to last for four days. “Each region is allocated 10 copies of the draft constitution for the perusal of the stakeholders including the mayors and regional governors,” the release concluded.
