The Gambia Health and Education Promotion, acharitable organization based in the United Kingdom, yesterday donated 20 mosquito nets to the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), at a presentation ceremony held at the RVTH.

Alhajie Babucarr Ngum, the public relation's officer of RVTH, in  receiving the gifts on behalf of the Chief  Medical Director, thanked the charitable organization for the timely gesture, and added that the donation will be put into good use. He also added that the valuable donation will be reserved for the private block of the RVTH, where funds will be raised to service other areas.

For his part, Kebba Saidy, representing the charitable organization, said that he and his colleagues found the need to gain funds in order to help in both the education and health sectors. He further went on to say that among the long term goals of the organization is to provide a linkage between health professionals in The Gambia and the United Kingdom.
