Gifts for Central Baddibu disaster victims

In its drive to improve the wellbeing of disaster victims in North Bank Region, Njawara Agricultural Training Centre in collaboration with Concern Universal recently provided humanitarian assistance to disaster victims in central Baddibu district of North Bank Region.

Speaking on the occasion, Momodu Kenda Dibba, the chief of Salikenni in Central Baddibu, commended Njawara Training Centre for contributing immensely in providing building materials; rice and sanitary materials to disaster victims to improve their living conditions. He urged the beneficiaries to serve as role model as the materials donated should be able to have positive impact. He thanked the donors for the generous support and concern they have on affected families.  

For his part, Mama Manneh of Njawara Agricultural Training Centre, said disaster mitigation and preparedness call for holistic approach by indigenous citizens in the region and beyond to help complement efforts of government. He asserted that his agency in collaboration with donor communities will continue to mobilize resources to help mitigate and improve the standard of affected families by providing much needed humanitarian services and to effectively enhance their social integration in the society.
 
He said the presentation of food, building and sanitary materials in Salikenni is among the series of distributions the centre embark on to provide easy access and also make the exercise more transparent by involving district authorities and regional disaster management in ensuring that the beneficiary are reach. He further assured them of their support.
