GMAA to stage training camp

The Gambia Martial Arts Academy, in collaboration with a Senegalese Taekwondo team are set to stage a two-day international summer exhibition and training camp.

The event is fixed between August 15 and August 16, at the Buffer Zone in Tallinding. According to Yarro Njie, the founder of the academy, the exhibition will showcase series of demonstrations in different aspects of Martial Arts including Vovinam Viet VO Dao, Hapkido, Taekwondo, Karate and Kung Fu.

He said the event is meant to keep the youngsters in active programs during the summer and to help them master some of the latest reforms in Kukkiwon-Taewondo. "The gathering will also be a rare opportunity for the youngsters to share experiences as well as learn from  each other," he said.
