africa » gambia
Thursday, March 12, 2009
The ongoing criminal trial involving one Ebrima Kanu on Thursday resumed at the Kanifing Magistrates court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake.

Ebrima Kanu is on trial for stealing a goat. Giving his testimony, the prosecution witness Bakary Drammeh, a security officer at KMC, told the court that on the 11th of January 2009 at KMC, one Awa Joof came to him and informed him that there was somebody carrying a goat behind the Family Planning headquarters in Kanifing.

He added that he then took a taxi and went with the said Awa. He added that they caught up with the accused at the Kanifing Mobile Traffic Junction, where he was subsequently arrested before being taken to the Kanifing Police Station and charged.
