africa » gambia » kanifing
Thursday, March 26, 2009
The Kanifing Magistrate Court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake, on Wednesday, ordered one Sulayman Ceesay to be taken to RVTH for medical examination, as he was suspected to be mentally imbalanced.

This development came about after the accused failed to satisfactorily answer questions put to him by the court. According to the particulars of the offense, the accused on the 26th of February 2009 at Kamalo along the Banjul Highway threatened to stab three people - Ernest Jatta, Marian Jarju and Therese Jarju -with a knife. First class Louis Mendy represented the IGP for  trial.
