Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates Court yesterday convicted and sentenced one Essa Jarjue, a habitual offender to 13 months imprisonment with hard labour without any option of a fine.

Essa had earlier pleaded guilty to two charges of shop breaking and stealing. Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake, in his judgement, revealed that many of the criminal cases before him involve the youth. He urged the convict to turn a new page before sentencing him.
