Heavy rain affects 3 villages in Sabach Sanjal

At least 3 villages in the North Bank Region east were last Tuesday affected by a heavy rainfall, which  destroyed over 100 houses and valuable items.

The affected villages include: Loumen Sanjal, Pallen, Wolof and Mabapa. Speaking to the Daily Observer, Hon. Ousman Bah, National Assembly member for Sabach Sanjal constituency revealed that the incident occurred on Tuesday, 3rd August 2010 due to the heavy rainfall. He added that houses have been destroyed including foodstuffs and clothes.

Hon. Bah further appealed to the National Disaster Management Agency, philanthropists, individuals and the private sector to come to the aid of these people.
