Hewlett Packard officials arrive

Thursday, February 11, 2010
Close to 200 hundred partners of Hewlett Packard’s Technology Live Company arrived Wednesday in Banjul for a three-day conference.

The high-profile delegation was received upon arrival at the Banjul International Airport by Farma Njie, proprietress of Discovery Tours, with entertainment provided by different cultural groups.

The 2010 Hewlett Packard Technology Conference is scheduled to take place at the Sheraton Hotel in Brufut from 10-13 February.  The group, during its stay in the country will be engaged in other activities such as tours to experience some of The Gambia’s delights, and a gala night at the Sheraton Gambia Hotel and Spa, where some ministers, the director general of The Gambia Tourism Authority, the Nigeria High Commissioner to The Gambia and managing directors of the numerous banks amongst other dignitaries are expected to attend.

Discovery Tours is honoured to be the ground handler for this esteemed group. It is believed that the three-day event will be another testimony of the benefits of diversifying our efforts to develop regional tourism and further promote The Gambia not only as a destination for leisure tourism but also as a great destination for upmarket business tourism. Hewlett-Packard West Africa is a global company with its West Africa head office located in Nigeria.
