Hon. Nyang donates to women groups

Africa » Gambia
Monday, July 06, 2009
The National Assembly member for Banjul South, Hon. Babucarr Nyang, last Saturday, donated Asobees to women groups in his constituency. Twelve women groups benefitted from the gesture.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Nyang said he made the donation to the women to enable them participate in the forth-coming July 22nd celebration. According to him, this is another way of thanking them for the support they rendered to him and the APRC party.  He urged them to keep supporting the party and come out in their numbers to celebrate the July 22nd anniversary.

Mam Sai-Njie, former mayor of Banjul, said they will continue to support the National Assembly member and the APRC party. According to her, they will do all they can to support the party to move forward. She promised that they will come out in their numbers to participate in the celebration and expressed appreciation to Hon. Nyang. Other speakers included Aji Fatou Bah, Aji Yama Faal-Taal and Aji Oumie Sarr.
