Hospital CEO commends President Jammeh

Africa » Gambia
Tuesday, February 02, 2010
The chief executive officer of the Sulayman Junkung General Hospital in Bwiam, Kebba S Badjie, has commended the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheik Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh for his herbal treatments that help reduce the burden on major hospitals and health centres in the country and beyond.

Badjie made these remarks in a recent interview with the Daily Observer in his office in Bwiam. He said President Jammeh deserves to be commended for his breakthrough in the cure of HIV/AIDS, asthma, diabetes and infertility. He stated that herbal treatment has been around for centuries and has been very effective and productive.

He added that science has proven that even Western medicines that are being used today came from herbs and other roots. Badjie went on to describe the president?s herbal treatment as something that is not only historical but also prolongs lives. ?Treatment, whether [by] herbal or conventional medicine is the restoration of the sick to health,? he explained, adding that up to now conventional medicine still cannot discover a cure for HIV/AIDS.

The Sulayman Junkung Hospital boss pointed out that there is no conventional breakthrough that has the power to reduce viral load from millions to something undetectable within a short time like that achieved by President Jammeh?s herbal treatment. ?If people are not fat-headed they should know that nobody has monopoly of knowledge in this world, and [that] God has given mankind a brain to utilise it for the betterment of society,? he said.

He then called on scientists to learn from President Jammeh?s treatment so that they can develop themselves more. He finally urged Gambians to rally behind President Jammeh.
