Humanity First assists Jamali Babou fire victims

The Humanity First, last Monday donated food items to the fire victims of Jamali Babou village in the Sami District, Central River Region North through its feeding programme called 'Feed the family'.

The food items which included rice, cooking oil and onions among others, worth over D10,000. This is the third time Humanity First is assisting victims in the Central River Region. Speaking at the handing over ceremony, the chairman of the Humanity First, Kawsu Kinteh, pointed out that Humanity First is an NGO initiated by the fourth caliphate of the Ahmaddiyya Muslim Jamaat to serve mankind.  He said the 'Feed the family' programme is an activity conducted across the country.  He revealed that under this activity, the needy families are being identified and given support by Humanity First.  He stated that over twenty seven families are benefiting from the programme.

Fahim and Aresha Diessenthaler from the Humanity First in the Netherlands said they have to help the poor and the needy regardless of political affiliation, religion, race or sex. He spoke at length on the hospitality of Gambian people and assured them that the relationship will continue. Musa Samura, councillor of Banni ward in Sami District commended Humanity First for their humanitarian assistance they are enduring to the people of his ward. The Alkalo of the village, Eliman Jeng and Ndey Jeng, lady councillor for Sami district, both applauded the efforts of the donors for their benevolent assistance.
