Husband ‘kills’ wife over a bag of riceFriday, August 03, 2012 One Libelley Ceesay, a native of Kartong Kunda in the Kiang West District of the Lower River Region (LRR) allegedly killed his wife over a bag of rice, Daily Observer was reliably informed. Narrating
the incident, Omar Jawo, the commissioner of Police in LRR said it happened on
Monday July 30th 2012, around 6:30am in the said village. His words:
“It all happened at a time when the husband was said to have bought a bag of
rice and wanted to share it between his two wives. But the deceased objected to
that decision. The husband lost his temper and threatened to kill her by
