Following the successful launch of his much anticipated album-‘Roukouchi’, the afromanding sensation is heading for what many describe as another musically electrifying project.


Jalex, widely known by his music sobriquet ‘Akuntu’ left The Gambia last weekend for the UK, courtesy of Yaram Arts and other partners, marking the start of his 2012 tour of Europe and US. With three successful albums under this belt namely ‘Bandinya’, ‘Soma Alfa’ and his latest masterpiece ‘Roukouchi’, the afromanding still remains a prolific figure in the country’s entertainment scene. Since he burst into prominence he has no looked back in promoting his career to international level.


According to reports reaching What’s On, Jalex will be performing alongside the Senegalese rising mbalax sensation -Assan Njie at the most talked about Senegambia Cultural event in London slated for August 26th 20102. After the London concerts, Jalex will depart for the US for the start of his debut musical performance for the first time in US. While in US, he is expected to perform on Labour Day and Gambian Reunion event in Miami, then New York, Atlanta, Seattle to Washington DC.
